With the recent announcement of the unfortunate demise of the Canadian BMX Association's Western National Series for 2012, many riders have approached the ABA about whether or not they are permitted to race in 2012 with a 2011 earned "C" Plate.

The answer is YES. Although the series will not be running in 2012, riders may still use their awarded C Plates from 2011. 2011's C Plates will be valid until the end of the Alberta Bicycle Association Grands/Provincial Championship weekend scheduled for September 8-9, 2012 in Calgary. After that time, riders may no longer run their 2011 awarded C Plate.
