CCA announces BMX athletes selected for Fall Supercross World Cup events.

The CCA has pleased to announce the Athletes for the partially funded Teams for the upcoming SX events.  The upcoming Supercross World Cup events are the 2^nd and 3^rd events counting towards the 2012 Olympic qualification process. The events are held on the same style of track and racing format as the Olympic Games.

The team selected for the Frejus, France SX event was based on the athlete’s potential ability to be competitive on a Supercross track from the Chula Vista ID camp held in August.

The Team includes Albertan's Sam Cools (Airdrie BMX), Jim Brown (Airdrie BMX) and Pat Label (Airdrie BMX)

Chula Vista SX:

Any championship athletes wishing to compete in a UCI BMX Supercross World Cup competition must register only under the agency of the National Federation (CCA).  All championship class riders can register now by emailing Nicholas Vipond (nicholas.vipond@canadian-cycling.com).  Registration for Chula Vista SX is open until 5:00 pm EST on September 9th.  Registration for Frejus is open until 5:00 EST on September 30^th.  Only pre registrations will be honoured. No race day registration will be accepted on site. No exceptions.
